Day 1 has been filled with insights as to how philanthropy can contribute to the life of cities. Be it via education, health, environment or public-private partnerships, philanthropy can play the key role in creating better living and working environments. The concept of shared value is crucial as it sheds light on the fact that everyone can reap benefits from the interplay and synergies between the public, private and non-profit sectors.

This session will summarise the main lessons of the day. Using Ms. Cadbury’s compelling personal experience in fighting inequality and building resilient communities, it will look ahead and link the main findings of Day 1 with the expectations of Day 2.
